Common Question: My machine is clogged up with coffee and I can't I can't get it to run through. 

If you've purchased pre-ground coffee from our website to brew through your coffee machine, you might be experiencing an issue whereby the coffee is not flowing properly. 

This happens with around 3% of customers who choose this option. Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can control because we grind to a standardised espresso grind that works in the majority of coffee machines. 

Some machines vary in pressure, water flow, and power meaning the coffee won't pass through the portafilter handle as expected. 

What we recommend is as follows: 

Suggestion #1: Reduce the amount of coffee added to the basket or handle. This will increase the flow rate and produce a better espresso rather than it ‘choking up’. 

Suggestion #2: If you order again, it’s best for you to choose ‘grind for Aeropress which will help ensure the coffee is flowing correctly. 

Still not working?

Option #1: Send you a replacement coffee with a more suitable grind type for your machine.
